These terms govern access to Therapy Council websites, courseware, accounts, certificates, digital products, and related services.

Effective: June 3, 2026Last updated: June 3, 2026
Therapy Council provides education and certification programs. Our courses are not a substitute for clinical supervision, professional licensing, diagnosis, treatment, emergency care, or legal advice.

Introduction

By accessing, registering for, purchasing, or using Therapy Council services, you agree to these Terms and to any policies linked from this page. If you use the platform for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that organization.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated version.

Accounts and Eligibility

  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete account information.
  • You are responsible for keeping login credentials confidential and for activity under your account.
  • You may not share, sell, transfer, or sublicense account access or course access.
  • We may suspend or close accounts used for fraud, misuse, unauthorized sharing, or policy violations.

Educational Content and Certificates

  • Certificates are issued to the individual learner who completes the required coursework, assessments, and verification steps.
  • Certificates are not professional licenses, academic degrees, or authority to practice regulated therapy unless expressly stated by an applicable licensing body.
  • We may revoke or correct certificates obtained through cheating, impersonation, unauthorized assistance, payment reversal, or material policy breach.

Certificate Validity and Renewal

Every certificate record stays publicly verifiable on the register permanently, so the credential and its issue date can always be confirmed. The certificate also carries a four-year date from issue, which marks how long it stands as current against the syllabus that was assessed.

  • Recertification is optional. To hold a certificate dated against the current syllabus, you sit the current assessment for that certification again; passing issues a new certificate with a new number and a new four-year date.
  • The assessment you sit on renewal is the current one, which may differ from the assessment you originally passed if the curriculum has been updated.
  • Course material you have purchased stays available to you regardless of whether the certificate is renewed.
  • A certificate that is not recertified stays on the register past its four-year date and continues to confirm that the assessment was passed on the issue date. It is not a revoked record, and it is not removed.
  • To begin a renewal, or to ask what it involves for your certification, contact us and we will confirm the current assessment and any fee before you commit.

Intellectual Property

All course materials, videos, exercises, exams, certificate designs, logos, software, text, images, and platform content are owned by Therapy Council or its licensors.

  • You may use purchased materials for your own learning and authorized professional development.
  • You may not copy, record, scrape, resell, publish, distribute, or create derivative training products from Therapy Council content without written permission.
  • You may not remove watermarks, copyright notices, access controls, or attribution.

Acceptable Use

  • Do not use the platform for unlawful, deceptive, harassing, discriminatory, harmful, or abusive conduct.
  • Do not attempt to bypass security, access another account, disrupt the platform, introduce malware, or use unauthorized scraping or automation.
  • Do not misrepresent affiliation with Therapy Council or claim that a Therapy Council certificate grants regulated clinical authority.

Payments, Taxes, and Refunds

Prices, promotions, and product availability may change. You are responsible for applicable taxes and for ensuring that payment details are accurate.

Refunds are handled under the Refund Policy in effect at the time of purchase.

Third-Party Services

The platform may integrate with third-party services such as payment processors, identity providers, analytics tools, video providers, credential verification tools, or linked websites. We are not responsible for third-party content, availability, or policies.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The platform and content are provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, specific career outcomes, certification recognition by third parties, or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Therapy Council is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the platform.

Indemnification and Enforcement

You agree to defend and hold Therapy Council harmless from claims arising from your misuse of the platform, breach of these Terms, violation of law, infringement of third-party rights, or fraudulent conduct.

Policy violations may result in warnings, access limits, account suspension, certificate revocation, removal from programs, refusal of future service, and legal reporting where appropriate.
